Fornebu Scooter is a pilot developed and operated by Urban Sharing AS (US). The pilot will last from July 15. 2019 to October 03. 2019. To start using the scooters, you must buy a subscription and register with a valid telephone number. By purchasing a subscription you enter into an agreement with US, which is subject to the following terms and conditions for purchase, use and privacy:
1.1 You must be over 18 years of age to use Fornebu Scooter.
1.2 A payment cannot be cancelled after purchase. You agree that this contract is fulfilled by both parties so that the rules about withdrawal after remote sales of financial services is not applicable. For more information, see Law on Information and Withdrawal after remote sales and sales outside of fixed business premises (Consumer law) (implementing EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights) (Chapter 1, Section 2). (Only in Norwegian)
2.1 You are responsible to add and update your personal information on your profile.
2.2 You are responsible for using your scooter carefully and for complying to current traffic rules. You are also personally responsible if you inflict damage on yourself or others while using the scooters.
2.3 You are personally responsible for your scooter. You should therefore not lend your scooter to others, or entrust them with your user account or personal code. If your phone is lost or stolen, let us know immediately at email@example.com
2.4 The scooters are installed in good condition, and are frequently controlled and maintained, but it may still be possible to find a defect scooter in the station. You are personally responsible to check if the scooter is in proper condition before you use it. We ask you to contact us through the app, if you discover any faults with the scooter.
2.5 You can use the scooter for up to 24 hours before it has to be returned to a station. If you abuse your subscription, US can terminate your subscription permanently.
2.6 The scooters cannot be used outside Fornebu and Lysaker, in the forest, or off regular roads.
2.7 If you leave a scooter outside any of our stations, it’s completely at your own risk. If the scooter is stolen, we will hold you liable, and you must immediately report the theft to US. You also agree to cooperate with US when filling out a police report.
2.8 After use, you must return the scooter to one of the scooter stations. If the scooter is not locked correctly, you are liable if the scooter is stolen. You can secure the scooter by ending a trip within a station. Once the scooter is secured, you will receive confirmation through the app on your phone. However, please take the time to check if the scooter itself is no longer on a trip. The scooter’s display should be black and its lights should be turned off.
2.9 If the scooter is lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair, and thus is not available for other members to use, you will be held liable. After 14 days you will be charged 5000 NOK. US will contact you before charging your credit card. If you do not have a registered credit card you will be sent an invoice.
2.10 In case US notices inappropriate user behavior (e.g., trips outside the operating area, scooter alerts on tampering attempts etc.), US will contact you. If you do not answer within 24 hours, a member of the US team will try to locate the scooter at the latest GPS position sent by the scooter. If the scooter cannot be located, US can at any time cancel your trip and charge you the amount accumulated for the trip up to the moment of cancellation
2.11 If you do not have a Norwegian Cell phone number, you have to leave your credit card information for security reasons.
